Charlie the young otter is getting stronger day by day. He’s still a bit wobbly because he is so young, but he’s putting on weight every day, feeding well and developing a little pot bellyl. He’s quite a handful when it comes to feeding time and fights against taking the bottle initially, but then he suddenly realises it’s food and he guzzles away. It’s lovely to watch him kneading his paws when he suckles, not really much different from kittens. It won’t be long before we have to put on thicker gloves as his teeth are coming through and his bite is getting stronger, which are all good signs and what we want to be seeing. So far, so good. It shouldn’t be too long before we can try him on fish soup.
