Oskar discovers a flatfish

We treated Oskar the otter to a fresh flatfish, a megrim, courtesy of John-Arthur Robertson and the crew of the Radiant Star. The thing is that he had never seen one before, having been brought up on haddocks and whiting, and he wasn’t sure what to do with it. It smelt like a fish, but it didn’t look like any kind of fish he had ever seen. So he tried it on the ground, he tried it in his box, he tried throwing it in the air, and he tried it in the water, which was the most fun…until we cut it up for him, and then he realised how good it tasted. Thankyou Radiant Star, from Oskar and all the otters.
